About
Onko Solutions develops accurate, innovative solutions for the detection, prevention and treatment of cancer in underserved communities across the US and Latin America. Its device, InstaPAP, detects and helps prevent cervical cancer — even at early stages — with no tissue sample or lab work, reading optical and electronic signals from cervical tissue and analyzing them immediately.
The challenge
The device needed a reliable connection to a companion app, and many patients in remote areas used it outside internet reception — so the platform had to sync data collected offline once connectivity returned.
How we helped
- ✓A cloud solution physicians use to trigger a test from the app and receive results once the device finishes collecting data
- ✓A patient database with one-click access to medical history, latest and past results, and cervical-lesion area — plus ordering additional tests
- ✓A three-part integration: device ↔ app connectivity, cloud platform, and patient EHR
- ✓A modular architecture that absorbed late-stage changes without disrupting the rest of the build

A working device-to-cloud-to-EHR platform that puts immediate cervical-cancer screening results in physicians' hands — designed to reach underserved communities without lab infrastructure.
