Since 2011. Tech in Motion was founded by Itzel and Hector Torres, both seasoned IT professionals, and we've been building and operating production systems for healthcare and other industries ever since.

We start with a paid discovery to define scope and architecture, then deliver in fixed-scope phases (or time-and-materials for evolving work). You see a working build early and often, so the budget tracks real progress instead of a big up-front bet.

You do. All source code and intellectual property are delivered in your own repositories. There's no lock-in to us as a vendor — you can take the work anywhere.

Yes. We regularly inherit, stabilize, and extend existing systems — including legacy PHP and WordPress — without a full rewrite. We start with a short audit, document what's there, and improve it incrementally.

Yes. Software needs care after launch. We operate and evolve production systems — monitoring, incident response, updates, security patches, and continuous improvements — with SLA-based support. We run mission-critical operations around the clock.

Yes. We provide senior, healthcare-savvy engineers as advisors or embedded contributors who integrate with your process — plus architecture and code review, technical roadmaps, and fractional CTO/tech leadership.

Yes. We architect for HIPAA from day one — encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, audit logging, and PHI-aware data flows — and we automate risk assessment and policy management so you stay audit-ready. We can deploy on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure (e.g., AWS HIPAA reference deployments).

Yes. When we handle PHI on your behalf we sign a BAA, and we make sure the downstream services in your stack are covered by BAAs too.

Yes — FHIR R4 and HL7v2 interfaces, CDS Hooks for in-EHR decision support, SMART on FHIR, OpenEMR customization, and EHR ↔ scheduling/billing sync. If a system exposes FHIR, HL7, or an API, we can almost certainly integrate it, including custom connectors for anything with an interface.

We work directly with OpenEMR (deep customization and custom modules) and integrate with major systems via standards and HL7v2 — including Epic (FHIR write-back, flowsheets, SMART on FHIR) and Oracle Health/Cerner — plus universal HL7v2 for other EMRs.

We build retrieval-augmented (RAG) assistants grounded in your own documents, so answers are traceable to a source rather than invented. We add evaluation harnesses that validate answer quality, and a human-review step for high-stakes output.

Yes. We design AI with privacy and compliance built in — access controls, encryption, and zero-data-retention model routing where required — so sensitive data stays under your control.

Common uses: assistants grounded in your policies/documents that answer in plain language, document intelligence (OCR, classification, extraction at scale), and agentic, tool-using workflows that automate multi-step tasks — all grounded in your data and compliance requirements.

Primarily Next.js/React and Vue on the front end; Node.js, FastAPI, Django, and PHP on the back end; PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data. For AI we use OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and vector stores like pgvector/Pinecone/ChromaDB. We pick the right tool for your needs and team rather than forcing one stack.

Yes. We connect CRMs, accounting, scheduling, payments, and communications — including Stripe, Twilio, 8x8, Acuity, QuickBooks, and Salesforce — and we've delivered data migrations such as Salesforce → BlueFolder. The goal is that data flows instead of being re-entered.

Yes — that's a core service. We build and operate orchestration on n8n, Make, and Twilio: appointment-confirmation calls, fax-to-case intake with OCR, payment flows, and system-to-system sync. For one client we run 150+ live n8n workflows and 130+ Make scenarios in production.

On AWS and Vercel, with Docker containers, CI/CD via GitHub Actions, reverse proxy/TLS (nginx, Caddy), and secrets management (HashiCorp Vault). We can architect on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure when PHI is involved.

Vysio is our device-to-EMR platform behind a wearable hemodynamic monitor — a BLE gateway, a HAPI FHIR R4 canonical store with a custom code system, FHIR Subscriptions, Mirth HL7v2 ORU^R01 translation, and integration with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), and any HL7v2 EMR.
